The doctor calls to say that I need to come by in the afternoon to discuss pap smear result as it was not good. Late afternoon he tells me it had 'pap 5', which means that cancer cells were found (of niet, zie rivm site) and that means I have cancer. He asks me which hospital I would prefer. I have no idea. I feel very scared because last August my cousin (and friend, she was 18 months older than I) died of some female cancer and in my distress I do not even remember what type it was.
